We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to play a key role in our fast growing company located in Toronto. This role is perfect for a detail oriented, results driven individual who can dive right into an independent purchasing role.
Principal Responsibilities & Daily Routine
·Accepts purchase requests from various departments correspond with suppliers for quotations, prepares purchase orders and performs buying duties
·Maintains materials inventory, plans and schedules replenishment
·Sources quality suppliers and products ensure competitive quotes and timely deliveries
·Provides support and assistance to the purchasing operations.
·Must observe and ensure compliance with all health & safety policy sections which apply to the position and your operations
·Purchase the incoming material that is in compliance with Canadian and country of sales regulations.
Qualification
·3 years’ purchasing or related experiences
·College or university degree
·Relevant professional certification of Procurement / Purchasing / Supply Chain Management or enrollment in PMAC or CPP is preferable
·Proficiency in English & Chinese, strong communication and interpersonal skills - where the position will be coordinating with different departments
·Ability to identify issues and solve problems
·Exposures in the manufacturing environment
