As the company continues to grow, there is an opportunity now exists for an Accountant/Office Assistant to join our team!
Responsibilities:
•        Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
•        Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements
•        Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills
•        Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents
•        Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services
•        Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.
•        Prepare correspondence, reports, statements, forms, presentations, applications and other documents from notes
•        Respond to telephone, in person or electronic enquiries or forward to appropriate person
•        Provide general information to staff, clients and the public regarding company or program rules, regulations and procedures
•        Photocopy and collate documents for distribution, mailing and filing
•        Sort and file documents according to established filing systems, locate and retrieve documents from files as requested and maintain records of filed and removed materials
Qualifications:
•        Detail-oriented, self-disciplined and well-organized
•        Fluent in Mandarin and English both written and oral
•        Excellent interpersonal skills
•        Superior teamwork capabilities
•        Excellent customer services skills
•        Proficient in Microsoft Office Powerpoint, Excel, Quickbooks
•        One year of experience in accounting, office assistant or related field
•        Class 5 Driver Licence or G
