Application for IELTS Teacher and Translator
Bond Education Group is in need of a translator and IELTS teacher.
Bond Education Group is an international education company that has 6 affiliated programs. As a translator you will be involved with Bond Centre for Leadership and Management Development as well as Bond International College as a teacher of IELTS and moderating the testing program. Within Bond Center some Chinese delegations will require simultaneous translations at seminars and presentations throughout our program. Our international students require IELTS for university entrance.
Requirements
 A competent bilingual person of Chinese and English.
 Passionate about their work with a commitment to see projects completed successfully.
 Translations of both short and long texts.
 Synchronized translation.
 In-depth knowledge of Canadian English, eg. grammar, syntax, and Chinese Mandarin which respects the meaning of the original source.
 Ability to work alone, as a team member and under pressure.
 Terminology (Business, Science, Finance).
 Outgoing, interactive, excellent personal communication skills.
 Teaching experience of IELTS or TOEFL in a school or tutorial setting.
Prerequisites
 3 years experience as a translator and office environment.
 At least one year in a teaching role.
 Experience with a variety of topics – general, specialized and technical.
 Confirmed computer skills in a Windows environment.
 Excellent writing and speaking skills.
 Ability to work under pressure.
 Ability to develop excellent relations with colleagues and clients.
 Teaching strategies that provide achievement of success with students of language.
 Professionalism, conscientiousness and efficiency.
Renumeration according to experience.
Reference required.
