We are currently seeking a part-time handyman/superintendent to join our team in our hotel complex (108 units) located in Mississauga.
• Superintendent/handyman must have knowledge and understanding of all maintenance systems
Schedule: 30hr
Salary: $ 20.00 per hour
Location: Mississauga
As a key member of the property management team on site, the key responsibilities of the Superintendent/handyman include but are not limited to:
• Complete daily inspections of common areas, mechanical/maintenance rooms, and exterior grounds
• Interact with contractors and building residents
• Perform general cleaning, landscaping, inspections, snow removal, handle garbage, paint/wall repairs, etc.
• Follow and improve procedures, follow up on requests
• Perform ongoing minor maintenance
• Ensure communications are both in positive and professional manner to the management and staff.
• Report concerns to the Property Manager
• Complete work orders in a timely manner; Create daily logs and keep records
• Deliver bulletins and other correspondence to units as directed by the Property Manager
• Conduct annual smoke detector inspections of the units as directed by Property Manager
• Maintain and promote health and safety within the building and adhere to policies and procedures regarding workplace safety; report problems to management immediately
• Handyman skills are essential
• On-call duties
• Respond to building emergencies
• Guest room amenity repair (door handle, clogged sink, replace light bulb, etc )
• Other duties as assigned
Experience (optional)
• Maintenance 4 years
• Superintendent 2 years
