                        Position title: a full time Executive Chef
Duties:
•        Ensure that all food is handled and stored safely in accordance to health and safety regulations.
•        Review daily function sheets and determine quantities and production schedule to prepare products in accordance to standard in order to exceed guests’ expectations.
•        Adhere to all standard recipes in order to maintain consistency.
•        Responsible for daily operations of his/her assigned station in the brigade.
•        Operate all kitchen equipment with safety in mind at all times.
•        Report any discrepancies to management, in a timely fashion, in relation to procedure, equipment functionality and quality of base product in the kitchen;
•        Supervise specialist chefs, cooks and other kitchen staff.
•        Train kitchen staff on all new menus by demonstrating new cooking techniques and new equipment to cook staff.
•        Assist manager in menu development and execution of new recipe standard.
•        Assist in purchasing all food, cleaning and safety items within budgeted levels.
•        Maintaining effective communication within the kitchen and dining room, be responsive to staff suggestions and concerns and work to resolve problems.
•        Complete any other job related tasks assigned by management.
Skill requirements (Education and Work experience)
•        Relevant experience in Chinese and Japanese cuisine (preferred).
•        Advanced knowledge of cooking techniques and knife skills.
•        Ability to supervise 3-5 people.
•        Superior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
•        Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced, physically demanding, team-oriented atmosphere.
•        Proven selecting and training team members
•        Ability to work well with a team or individually
•        Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly and to ensure they are clearly communicated to an audience
