约克区出现两例印度双突变病例,疑似在隔离酒店被染

根据本地新闻报道,印度COVID-19双突变变异病毒-B.1.617已进入约克地区。

在今天即4月29日周四该地区的特别委员会会议上,卫生官员库尔吉透露,公共卫生部门在上周五收到消息说,约克区已鉴定出两例印度双突变变异病例(B.1.617),这两个病例一个是万锦市居民一个是旺市居民。

库尔吉说:“我们的调查人员发现一个人来自中国大陆,一个人来自中国的台湾省。”,他还补充到中国是发病率较低的国家。这两个人在来加拿大之前在当地进行的测试都呈阴性,此外在到达加拿大时的测试也呈阴性。其中一个人是在一家酒店进行的隔离。另一个人是在旅馆中隔离三天后回家继续自我隔离。

库尔吉说:“我们相信他们完全遵循了(COVID)协议,但是10天后,他们的检测都呈阳性。”这两例病例都认为他们是在返回加拿大后从他们曾居住过的隔离酒店中获得的变体病毒,不过,库尔吉表示,公共卫生部门尚未证实情况是否如此。

目前联邦卫生部长,安大略省公共卫生,约克地区和皮尔地区正在对此事进行调查。

除上述外,约克地区公共卫生病例和联络人管理小组目前也正在调查一名近期从印度归来的旅客,该旅客的测试结果呈阳性,变体筛选结果正在等待中。

It is specifically targeted at Asian seniors and women. On the 19th, a58-year-old Asian woman was harassed by several young people on abus.
